In winter the air is high in humidity. That moisture can cause many problems for our skin. Problems that plague us especially in winter are dryness of the hands, feet, face, itching and burning. Also the most sensitive part of the face is the dry skin on the lips where cracks form. In that case the skin needs special care in winter.

We cannot drink large quantities of water in winter due to the cold. This causes our skin to become dehydrated and dry. So it is better to drink large amounts of water.

Apply moisturizing cream on the skin after bathing. It provides adequate moisture to the body and keeps the skin from drying out. Sesame oil works well in winter. After half an hour of massaging with this oil, take a bath with lukewarm water to soften the skin. Apply Vitamin E creams on the face after bathing.

Lip cracking problems occur especially in winter. Apply lip balms, buttermilk and coconut oil on the lips in winter. These provide them with enough moisture.

Hair care is also required, otherwise dandruff, hair problems can occur and excessive amounts of hair can be blown out, malnourished or become dull. In winter it is better to cut your hair frequently.

Skin cracks are common in winter. Vaseline should be applied to the skin before going to bed at night. Moisturizing creams should be used.

Foot cracks are more common in winter. Apply foot creams, petroleum jelly and socks on the feet.

There are cold winds throughout the winter. So it is better to use sweaters, socks and gloves which provide heat to the body. Also, massaging with almond and olive oils can reduce itching and dryness.
