Demand for Booster Dose increases as Omicron Variant surfaces

Demand for the booster dose of the Covid 19 vaccine was gaining momentum after the identification of the Omicron variant, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) reiterated that the booster dose was much needed. IMA Secretary General Dr Jayesh M Lele said there was already a demand for booster doses in India.

"We have already appealed to the government for a booster dose for the poor, including frontline healthcare workers and people with comorbidities," he said.
