Total Cases of Omicron reach 37 in the Country with one more case in Maharashtra

India is currently dealing with the new variant called Omicron. This new variant has already planted itself in sixty-six countries. It is gradually increasing in India. Recently, another Omicron case was registered in India. The first case was reported in Nagpur town in Maharashtra. A 40-year-old man has been diagnosed with Omicron, officially announced by Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishna. It has been revealed that he is currently receiving medical treatment.


This brings the number of cases of this new variant to 18 in the state of Maharashtra. The other states, Karnataka had 3, Rajasthan 9, Delhi 2, Chandigarh 1, Gujarat 3 and AP 1 case.


The central government is on alert with these new wear and tear cases on the rise. The central government initially decided to tighten the variant and has written to the states to enforce night curfew if necessary.
