Farmers protest turns Violent

Maharastra: Maharastra farmers are protesting to get their lands back. They petitioned for the authorities to give their lands back. They started to protest when the authorities refused to give back their lands. Farmers became angry and started blocking the highways. Later on now the protest turned violent. Police came in charge and turned against to farmers as they don’t have permission for the protest. The angry farmers turned violent.Twenty nine people including 15 policemen were injured today at Thane highway protest. Policemen used pellet guns to control the mob as the farmers stopped the vehicles on the busy highway. The farmers are actually protesting for 1600 acre navy land Navy. But all these years farmers occupied this area and used it for cultivation and farming. “Navy was building the peripheral boundary wall to "safeguard Defence land from further encroachment" said Defense Ministry.
