21 peacocks dies due to water scarcity in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh: Water Scarcity is high in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many deaths are registered due to water scarcity in the state. This year minimum 21 peacocks are found dead due to water scarcity in Sumawali forest area of Joura town at Morena district of Madhya Pradesh State. The dead bodies of peacocks were sent for postmortem immediately as the forest department rushed to the spot. The Post morten reports stated that the cause of death is due to the thirst and it occurred as there was water scarcity in the Sumawali forest. The act of negligence from the forest department caused the death of 21 beautiful peacocks. The people from Hatupura village of the Morena town found the dead bodies of peacocks in the forests and reported the matter to the forest department. Villagers accused local administration for being negligent. The Sub division Magistrate Pradeep singh confirmed the death of 21 peacocks and he said that the police officials will carry the further investigation. He also assured that he will take care of repair of damaged water pumps in the forest. The death rate of peacocks in that region is increasing every year from past three years.
