Then Judy, now Xavier malware. After Judy malware now the Xavier malware is trending. It seems like more than 800 apps in Google play store affected by this Xavier malware.  It was announced on Friday that, Global Cyber security has detected more than 800 applications in Google Play Store embedded with a newest Trojan Android malware "Xavier". This has been already downloaded millions of times till date. Xavier is a malware that is linked up with cyber thieves. Xavier malware’s duty is to steal and leak the user’s information and security.  Trend Micro said in a statement that, "These applications range from utility apps such as photo manipulators to wallpaper and ringtone changers. We also provide multi-layered mobile security solutions to protect users from this threat"
Based on data from its "Mobile App Reputation Service", the team found that Xavier's stealing and leaking capabilities are difficult to detect because of a self-protect mechanism through the use of methods such as string encryption, internet data encryption and emulator detection.
Xavier malware is not only capable to download but also execute other malicious codes from a remote server. This execution can be an even more dangerous aspect of the malware. The cyber security team suggests not to download anything from play store till this issue is solved. This is the easiest and best way to avoid this malware.  It is registered that users in Asian countries made highest attempts of downloading these apps than United States.  Previously, Google play store was infected by a malware named Judy. Judy was a malware that makes fake clicks and views to websites to generate revenue. Xavier malware is dangerous than Judy as it can collect and execute your personal information.
