Baby Meena Struck at 420 ft, ONGC joins Rescue team

Hyderabad June 24 : Baby Meena is still facing difficulty in the bore well. Rescue team found baby images at 230 feet down Yesterday but, as per rescue team's new images, it seems like baby have went down 420 feet in the bore well. She has already spent second night in about 50 foot down a dark bore well, while rescue team is still continuing their work. It’s been already 45 hours but 16-month-old child have not been rescued yet. It is reported that she fell in bore well while playing near her home in Ekkareddyguda, Chevella, in Ranga Reddy district, Hyderabad. Health officials have announced that there was no response from the child from this afternoon.





A camera sent down by the National Disaster Response Force sent back images of toddler’s palm. The ‘bore well rescue robot’ failed to bring the baby up as the robot is too wide to hold the baby and she was slipped after every attempt. Situation is turning critical every minute. Baby’s parents renuka and Yadigiri is in deep grief. People in the village say that this incident occurred due to act of negligence of government. However, two agencies National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the cyberbad police team are working to rescue the baby.  Collector Raghunadhan Roa said, “We are trying our best to save the child and updating the situation to chief minister.” ONGC joined the Rescue team and it may take evening to bring the child out.
