File FIR Against J&K Minister, NC MLA Demands

Srinagar, July 5 (IANS): The 'lynching' remarks made in the assembly by a minister has made National Conference leader Devender Rana on Wednesday to seek the Jammu and Kashmir Speaker's direction to file a FIR against the Minister.

Rana heads the National Conference in Jammu, who asked Speaker Kavinder Gupta to pass directions to police chief to file a criminal complaint against Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Imran Ansari.

Ansari on Tuesday told Rana: "I can lynch you here. I know all your shady businesses."

“If the Speaker did not pass the directions, I would personally go and lodge a FIR against Ansari” Rana said.

Speaker Gupta said he was sorry for the unpleasant exchange between the rival legislators. He also asked them not to hurl threats against each other in future.
