Srinagar, Aug 13 (SURYAA): A youth injured in clashes with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday died in hospital, police said.

Owais Ahmad Dar, 24, was hit with pellets fired by the security forces during clashes between stone pelters and the security forces in Kakapora town of Pulwama in the evening.

"The youth was shifted to SMHS hospital in Srinagar where doctors declared him dead on arrival," police said.

Clashes had broken out at many places in south Kashmir after three militants, including Yasin Yatoo alias Mehmood Ghaznawi, the operational commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen, were killed in a gunfight in Awneera village of Shopian district.
