Washington, Sep 18 (IANS)   After Pyongyang's latest missile test, The US and South Korea have agreed to increase pressure on North Korea , the White House said.

US President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in spoke on Saturday by phone, Xinhua news agency reported.

The two leaders have pledged to be committed to "continuing to take steps to strengthen deterrence and defence capabilities and to maximize economic and diplomatic pressure" on North Korea, according to a White House statement.

North Korea confirmed that it conducted another medium-range ballistic missile test on Friday.

The missile launch, which violates UN Security Council resolutions, came just days after the council imposed fresh sanctions on North Korea over its nuclear test on September 3.
