Spiritual body campaigns against drugs abuse

Haridwar, Sep 21 : A spiritual organisation  has rolled out four "raths" from four corners of the country to campaign against drugs and tobacco use and to highlight the importance of environment, a journey that will cover 21,817 km in all.
The "raths" with LED screens began moving out of Jammu in the north, Dwarka in the west, Guwahati in the northeast and Kanyakumari in the south and will reach Nagpur in the heart of India in the last week of January, the Gayatri Parivar said.
"The raths will pass through 27 states and two union territories," a spokesman for the group told IANS. "Each rath will be on the move for 132 days, stopping at various places to show video movies on subjects that affect today's people."
In totality, the 'raths' will cover 21,817 km in their criss-cross journey, he said.
