Team Squash: India lose to England in quarters

Marseille, Dec 1  India lost 0-2 to defending champions England in the quarter-finals of the WSF World Mens Team Squash Championship here on Friday.

Eighth seeds India, who put up a superlative show to oust Germany on Thursday night, saw both singles specialists Saurav Ghosal and Harinderpal Sandhu losing their opening matches.

World No.6 Nick Matthew overcame No.16 Ghosal 3-2 (11-6, 6-11, 11-7, 10-12, 11-9 in 76 minutes to give England a crucial lead.

Then, world No.15 Daryl Delby crushed No.52 Harinderpal Sandhu 3-0 (11-2, 11-4, 11-2) in only 38 minutes to end India's run in the biennial competition of the World Squash Federation (WSF).
