Rain sees temperatures dip across Rajasthan

Jaipur, Dec 12 : Dense fog engulfed the Rajasthan capital on Tuesday, creating trouble for office-goers and school-going children. The overnight intermittent rains led to a dip in temperatures across the state on Tuesday.

The sky remained mostly cloudy in the day, however, sunlight for some time gave some relief to the people.

The met department has predicted more showers and rainfall in coming days, which will lead to further drop in temperature.

The rain was triggered by western disturbances over Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan. The induced cyclonic circulation over west Rajasthan also resulted in the unseasonal rain, the Met office said here.

The lowest temperature of 6.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Alwar on Monday night.

The cities which have seen rains in the last 24 hours are Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, Kota, Ajmer, Churu and Barmer -- all of which saw significant dip in temperatures.
