Kolkata  :  Selin Ovunc of Turkey, seeded second in the girls singles under-18 draw, made a remarkable comeback to lift the title at the 26th ITF Juniors tennis championships held at the red clay courts of the Dakshin Kalikata Sansad on Saturday.

In the boys singles under-18 final, it was the left-handed Louis Herman of Belgium who stole the show as he dismissed top seeded Yassir Kilani of Morocco by a straight yet close 6-4,7-5 in one hour and 37 minutes.

The boys doubles under-18 and the girls doubles under-18 winners are Louis Herman and Gauthier Onclin of Belgium and Julie Belgraver and Isabelle Haverlag of Netherlands respectively.

In the opening set, Ovunc seemed to be comfortable at the beginning as she broke Diana Khodan's serve twice in a row to grab a 5-2 lead.

From there Ukraine's Khodan refused to donate a single game as she pocketed the set by 7-5, winning five games at a stretch.

Ovunc, though looked a little down mentally at the beginning of the second set as she began with a drop of serve but regained her confidence from the fourth game and eventually levelled the match to a set a piece with a 7-5 win.

In the decider, it was more of a clean sweep as the 2nd seeded Ovunc, ranked 150 in the ITF Junior ranking charts, won the set by a fine 6-1.
