Met Karunanidhi to get his blessing, says Kamal Haasan after calling on DMK chief

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan met Former Tamil Nadu CM and DMK President M Karunanidhi at his Chennai residence in Gopalapuram on Sunday.

Kamal Haasan said he was meeting several leaders and "picking ideologies" from everywhere, and that he met Karunanidhi to get his blessing.

"Kamal came to seek Karunanidhi's blessing before he launches his party on the 21st...I also welcome him and give him my best," said DMK Working President MK Stalin.

Kamal Haasan says he will reveal his party's ideology on February 21.

"We will have an all-party meeting regarding the Cauvery issue, and I have invited him and he has given me his assurance," Stalin added.

"We have welcomed Kamal the same way that we welcomed Rajini. Everyone can have their own dreams and we won't disrupt them," the DMK deputy chief said.

Rajinikanth, another actor who has taken the political plunge, also met Karunanidhi at his residence recently.
