Moscow, Nov 29  US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will meet on Saturday on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told state news agency RIA Novosti on Thursday.

The meeting will be held in the Park Hyatt hotel in Buenos Aires and is expected to last for over two hours, according to the news agency.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin plans to discuss bilateral relations, strategic security and regional conflicts with Trump.

"Bilateral relations-connected issues will come first. We should give thought to how to start discussing bilateral relations, strategic security, disarmament and regional conflicts," Peskov was quoted as saying by TASS news agency.

He added that Moscow and Washington didn't need to agree on all global issues but they needed to hold talks in the entire world's interest.

The meeting was yet to be confirmed by the White House. But Trump had suggested in an interview on Tuesday that he might cancel his get-together with the Russian leader depending on the results of a "full report" about last weekend's maritime clash between Russia and Ukraine, CNN reported.

US National Security Adviser John Bolton said that if the two leaders did meet, Trump would discuss security, arms control and regional issues with Putin. "I think it will be a continuation of their discussion in Helsinki," he said.

Bolton did not confirm whether the situation in Ukraine would be on the table.
