Goyal appointed Director of IIM-Shillong

Shillong, Feb 13 (IANS) Prof. D.P. Goyal, currently Dean and Professor of Management at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram, has been appointed as the Director of Indian Institute of Management - Shillong, an official said on Tuesday.

The Chairperson of the Board of Governors (BoG), IIM-Shillong, Shishir Bajoria announced his appointment as the Director.

"I am indeed delighted to convey that Prof. D.P. Goyal was the unanimous choice of the Search-cum-Selection Committee and the BoG. There were 88 applicants from all over the country, showing the popularity and image of IIM-Shillong," Bajoria said.

Goyal did his Ph.D from Kurukshetra University in Management and Information Systems. He has over 20 Years of teaching experience at Thapar Institute of Technology, Punjabi University; IMT, Ghaziabad; and MDI, Gurugram.
