About 600 Japanese companies have been attacked by malware

Tokyo, May 15: Officials confirmed Monday that 600 Japanese companies, including electronics major Hitachi and vehicle Nissan, influenced global cyber attack last week.According to Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center, 2,000 computers from 600 different companies have been damaged by ransomware under the name "Wannery".Hitachi told EFE news that its email service was affected, and that some of its employees were still facing problems in accessing attachments, as well as sending and receiving messages.

Nissan Motor also reported in a statement that some of its plants have been targeted by malicious software, but the business is not negative.The Cross City Council of Osaka oversees its website at 10 am on Monday morning. Meanwhile, the country's financial services agency has asked banks to check whether all financial firms, including banks, insurance and security companies, are affected.

Due to Ransomware, WannaCry, the National Health Service in the UK, France and large companies in Spain, affected computer systems in at least 150 countries, rail network in germany, public offices in Russia, and universities in China and Taiwan are asking users to pay for Bitcoin digital currency to retrieve access to computers.
