Delhi: Nearly three decades later, the Indian Army joined forces. The Army bought these artillery for the first time since the US. The two M-777 Ultra-Light Howitzer weapons today arrived in India.

India bought the Bofors guns from Sweden in the late 1980s. Since then no such weapons have been taken into the Army again. But these camps have been mentioned again at the Union Cabinet meeting last year. The army decided to buy artillery to develop its armory. The Center told the Cabinet to sign an agreement with the US. In November last year, the Cabinet approved a deal with the $ 700 million deal to buy weapons.

Under the deal, the Indian Army has ordered a total of 145 battalions. Of these, 25 weapons are being delivered by BAE cysts, while the remaining 120 shathagnas will be manufactured in India with the help of Mahindra. Two of them received the Army today. The rest will come soon. These weapons, which are 153 mm / 39 caliber capacity, are used in high-altitude areas. These missiles can also be targeted at a distance of 30 km.
