New Delhi, May 19: Former coal secretary, HC Gupta and others in the coal block allocation case involving Kamal Sponge Steel and Power Limited (KSSPL).
Central Bureau of Investigation Special Judge Bharat Parashar Gupta has been convicted by two former Coal Ministry officials. Cropha and K.C. Pawan Kumar Ahluwalia, Samaria, the company KSSPL and its managing director, have been accused of various criminal charges under the Criminal Conspiracy and Corruption Act.
The court will deliver order on quantum of sentence on May 22.
Chartered Amit Goal, who is also facing trial in the case, has been acquitted by all charges. The case related to irregularities in the allocation of coal blocks in Telgora-B Rudrapuri in Madhya Pradesh appealed to the court. The CBI has filed a complaint against the company for misappropriation of facts, including the net worth of coal mines, the net worth.
