Common Winter Problems and its Remedies

In Ayurveda, triads are considered to be the leading cause of physical ailments. Triad is caused by an imbalance of air, bile and mucus. If the diet does not change according to the season, this imbalance will increase further. For example, bile defect is less in winter. But the chance of a sputum bug increases. However you can maintain your health in winter by following some effective steps in Ayurveda.


Cold
Colds are common in winter. If you have problems like sore throat, cold, etc., prepare a mixture of 1 teaspoon ginger, a little honey and black pepper powder. Then eat this mixture half in the morning and half at night while sleeping.


Acidity
Stomach burns are strong in winter. Overeating often causes acidity and constipation. In such a situation, when there is inflammation or acidity in the chest, drinking half a cup of cold milk mixed with half a cup of water at bedtime will end the acidity problem.


Constipation
Constipation can be cured by eating 1 teaspoon of aloe vera paste with 1/2 cup of lukewarm water at bedtime 2-3 hours after a meal. Apart from this, a teaspoon of Isabgol husk mixed with curd at bedtime also clears the stomach. But keep in mind that its use for a long time without medical consultation is harmful. Pregnant women should not use it at all as it can cause miscarriage.


Joint pains
If you have severe pain in the knees, back and hands in winter, add garlic cloves, ginger and celery in sesame oil and boil and apply on the affected areas. There will be relief from the pain.
