Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Konijeti Rosaiah is no more. He passed away due to health problems. Rosaiah's BP went down and was being taken to the hospital. The Congress party claimed that he had died on the way to the hospital.  He was 88.


He served as the Chief Minister of joint Andhra Pradesh from 2009 to 2010. He served as the Governor of Tamil Nadu from 2011 to 2016. He also served as the Governor of Karnataka for two months. He served as an MLA, MLC and MP from the Congress Party. He held many positions in the political life of about 50 years. Born on July 4, 1933, studied at Guntur Hindu College. He initially represented the Legislative Council on behalf of the Congress Party. Elected as MLC in 1968, 1974, 1980. Elected to the Legislative Assembly from Tenali after the dissolution of the NTR Legislature in 1985. In 1989, he became a minister in Marri Chennareddy's government. Since then, he has held several key portfolios under various Chief Ministers.


He is known as a disciple of NG Ranga. He introduced the state budget for a total. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed grief over the death of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Konijeti Rosaiah. President Chandrababu Naidu also mourned the death of Rosaiah.
