More than a year has passed since the ban on popular China apps. The news now reports that India will lift the ban on China apps.

In the Lok Sabha, Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav made sensational remarks about China apps. He stated that there was no proposal to lift the ban on apps.

Applications like Pubg, TikTok, Weibo, WeChat, AliExpress, UC Browser probably won't be available in India at present. The Government of India banned 59 apps on July 29, 2020, another 118 apps on September 2, and 43 apps in November.

The government at the time said the ban was imposed under Section 69-A of the IT Act. It is well known that China has suffered a lot with this decision.
