Cases of heart attack increase significantly in winter.  The main symptoms of a heart attack are chest pain, dizziness and some other small signals given by our body. People often ignore these symptoms, which increase the risk even more. Dr. Ajith Kumar, a cardiologist at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, says that if heart attack is detected in a timely manner and many habits are avoided, heart attack can be prevented.

Other Symptoms of a Heart Attack
Dr. Ajith said that jaw and left arm pain are also a symptom of heart attack. Many think that the jaw problem is because of dental problems, but in most cases it turned out to be a symptom of a heart attack. The condition can get worse if not treated in time. The pain starts from the jaw and spreads to the neck. Getting all the heart tests done as soon as these symptoms occur will greatly reduce the risk.

Shortness of breath is also a sign.
According to the doctor, if you start having difficulty breathing after walking for a while or after climbing some stairs, it is a possibility that there is something wrong with the heart. Symptoms of shortness of breath are found in both men and women. If this problem persists for two to three days then there is a need to be vigilant. This is an early symptom of a heart attack.

However Doctors advise eating fresh food, exercising regularly, wearing thick clothing and avoiding smoking/drinking in winters to avoid heart attacks.
