Maharashtra Govt asks people to avoid crowding amid raising Omicron and Corona Cases

Maharashtra is once again in worrying state. The number of active cases is on the rise. The State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the active cases rode by 1051 on Tuesday.

There are 167 omicron cases in Maharashtra of which 90 have been discharged. Rajesh Tope said that the state needs to think of imposing restrictions to control crowds in public transport, wedding ceremonies etc.

With this the govt on Wednesday released rules for new Year celebrations. The govt asked people to avoid crowding especially in places like Gateway of India. Closed places can host events at 50% capacity and open places at 25% capacity. People aged below 10 and above 60 are advised to stay indoors.
