Vaccination for Children from Tomorrow

The vaccination program for children aged 15 to 18 years across the country will start from tomorrow. Slots for vaccination can be registered on the Cowin portal for children.

Registrations are also available at vaccine centers. The central government has already informed the states and union territories that children will only be vaccinated with covaxin. Covaxin to distribute additional doses.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement on December 25 on vaccination for children. Children born earlier to 2007 are eligible for the vaccine. According to the center guidelines, children should reach the vaccine centers for half an hour after vaccination. Doctors will check to see if any of them have any side effects.

The second dose is given after 28 days. Meanwhile, the third dose will be given to healthcare workers, frontline workers and the elderly suffering from chronic diseases from the 10th of this month.
