The festival is trying to impress travelers without raising any additional charges. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has good news for passengers during the Sankranti festival. RTC MD VC Sajjanar said that 4,322 special buses were being run to various parts of AP including Telangana in the wake of Sankranti festival. There are 3,338 special buses in Telangana and 984 in AP. He said the special buses would run till January 14. He clarified that no additional charges would be levied on these services.

Sajjanar urged the people to take advantage of these services. TS RTC has appointed special officers for NGBS, JBS, CBS, Miyapur X Roads, Ameerpet, Telephone Bhavan, Jeedimetla, Uppal X Roads and LB Nagar. APSRTC also said it was operating 6,970 special buses. These buses will run from January 7 to 18. However, it will charge 50 per cent more than regular charges. APSRTC Managing Director D.S. Thirumala Rao mentioned.
