UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's manner seems to be less prone to blows if the king is slapped. During the election he unanimously decided to repeal 800 laws. Since the Yogi Adityanath government came to power in Uttar Pradesh till now 800 laws have been repealed.
The matter was referred to the state Judicial Commission Chairman A.N. Mittal revealed. In an interview with an English company, he explained a number of things. He said 1,166 were not necessary with the old laws and had directed the government to repeal them. Among them, the Yogi government has so far repealed 800 laws. Before the Yogi government, at least the Law Commission was understaffed.
He said the staff was hired only after he took over as chairman. Mittal said the commission was receiving full support from the Yogi government. He said that even if there is a justice department, the commission will take advice on important issues. Of the 21 reports, 11 were approved by the government. Before making and enforcing a law, the CM Yogi consults with 20 to 25 senior officials and enforces the laws.
