AP Reports around 4500 new cases in the last 24 hours

Andhra Pradesh reports 4,570 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Active case tally in the state stands at 26,770. Chittor and Vishakapatnam recorded over 1000 cases while West Godavari reported the elast with 95 cases.

The Union Ministry of Health said on Sunday morning that India reported 2,71,202 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was also lower at 16.28 per cent from 16.66 percent.

The country also recorded 314 Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours. The death toll reached 4,86,066. The number of active cases now stands at 15,50,377.

A total of 7,743 Omicron cases have been detected so far across the country, an increase of 28.17 per cent since Saturday.
