N.Korea Holds Key Parliamentary Meeting Without Kim Jong-un

Seoul 8th September : North Korea has held a Crucial parliament session to discuss and pass laws on landscaping and rural development but without Kim Jong Un in the room according to state media on Thursday.


The Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) meeting was held in Pyongyang the day before according to the official North’s Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).“The session approved with unanimous approval of the resolution of the SPA of the DPRK “On adopting the Law of the DPRK on Socialist Rural Development’ and “On adopting the Law of the DPRK on Landscaping'” it said.DPRK is the acronym for North Korea’s official name, which is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea according to Yonhap News Agency.It also said that the meeting would continue and that it could continue for more than a day.The SPA is the most powerful organ of power under the North’s constitution but it does not ratify decisions of the government party.
