Suspected IS Man arrested in Chennai
Chennai, July 4 (IANS): The Rajasthan Police on Tuesday arrested here a person suspected to be linked to Islamic State Terror Group, Police said. The operation was conducted by anti-terrorism squad (ATS).
According to officials, the suspect, Haroon Rasheed, runs a shop in Burma Bazaar here.
He is alleged to have raised funds for the terror outfit. He was also suspected of being involved in recruiting people for the IS.
The police had zeroed in on Rasheed after the arrest of Mohammad Iqbal here in February.
