Cops Use Social Media to trace owner of the lost Iphone

BENGALURU:
A constable and an inspector of of halasuru traffic police station teamed up to return an iphone worth over 50,000 to its owner on Sunday with the help of namma -100 police helpline.
Constable Ameer Hamza found an iphone on 100 feet road,junction on 13th main,indira nagar.
he kept the phone expecting someone would call or someone in search will approach him,no one approached him for a long time.The mobile is hand- overed to inspector yogesh.
Inspector made a call to Namma-100 with the emergency dail pad and said to note that number.
He then dailed the same number from the other phone and identified the caller name as pooja chitkara with the help of true caller.
The inspector searched the name in facebook and informed her that her phone was safe.
Rajiv a friend of pooja reached the station explaining that she was in uttar pradesh,told she did not know where she had lost the phone
police gave the mobile to rajiv after the confirmation that he is pooja’s friend.
