New Delhi, June 26 (IANS) Due to adverse weather conditions, a Srinagar-Jammu IndiGo flight momentarily entered Pakistan's airspace, according to sources.
Citing the inclement weather, the airline said that the diversion was necessary and subsequently, flight 6e-2124 was redirected to Amritsar.
"Before the flight entered Pakistani airspace, the airline promptly informed the relevant authorities in both countries," said an airline official.
Consequently, the Jammu and Lahore Air Traffic Control (ATC) centres worked in coordination to facilitate the smooth diversion of the flight.
"The passengers on board arrived safely at their destination despite the weather-related detour," the official added.
