New Delhi, Aug 5 (SURYAA): Cross-complaints have been registered in connection with a brawl at a south Delhi restro bar, apart from one against a singer on the charge of tearing a policeman's uniform and the bar manager for beating the artiste, police said on Saturday.
Police said singer Sahil Sharma along with his brother and friends went for drinks at the restro bar in Green Park area around 11 p.m on Friday.
They allegedly created a ruckus over bill payment and fought with its manager Harpal Singh and the staff, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal said.
Sharma alleged that the food and drinks served to them were of poor quality but they were billed for high-end liquor. He said when he asked Harpal Singh about it, a heated argument and a brawl ensued.
On the other hand, Harpal Singh alleged that Sharma was under the influence of alcohol and abused the bar staff and even slapped a bartender. When he tried to handle the issue, Sharma abused him too, the manager said.
"Harpal Singh called a PCR van after Sharma did not stop creating a ruckus. When Head Constable Sunil Kumar of the PCR van tried to sort out the issue, Sharma tore his uniform and abused him," Biswal said.
"We have registered two cross-FIRs in this matter and are examining closed-circuit television footage. We have registered a separate FIR against Sharma and his friends for abusing the policeman. An FIR has been registered against Harpal Singh for thrashing Sharma," the officer added.
