London, Aug 5 (IANS) London Stadium, on the second day of the 2017 IAAF World Championships the focus of the sporting world during the 2012 Olympics, was packed with spectators again on Saturday, ahead of the highly anticipated 100-meter finals.
On the opening day of the Championships the crowd's attention was firmly focused on British distance running legend Mo Farah, who once again scooped gold in the 10,000-m, but on the second day of the tournament it is Jamaican sprinting star Usain Bolt who looks set to steal the limelight, reports Efe.
Should he breeze through the semi-finals, Bolt will make his last individual career run in the finals later in evening.
The IAAF organisers have said that ticket sales have surpassed 700,000 units, which all but ensures that the former Olympic Stadium will be full to the brim until the closing ceremony on August 13.
