All set for Inter exams from today

Guntur: The district administration has made elaborate arrangements to conduct Intermediate public examinations at 136 centres across the district from March 1. As many as 99,912 students, including 50,000 first year students, will write the examination. While, 69-examination centres were set up in the urban area, remaining 67 centres  in the rural areas in the district. Examinations will be conducted till March 14. After that, examinations for occasional courses will be conducted. Due to MLC elections, examination, which is slated for March 9, was deferred to March 19. 


The Intermediate Board has appointed 136 chief superintendents, 30 custodians, four flying squads and five sitting squads to check copying in the examination centres. The officials have already set up CCTV cameras at problematic centres to check mass copying at Dachepalli, Atchampet, Nagaram and Yadava Junior College in Guntur city. Examination will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm. The Intermediate Board officials already set up a Control Room. If the students have any problems, they may contact 0863-2228528. The district administration has already directed the SPDCL officials to provide uninterrupted power supply to the Intermediate examination centres. 

RIO Koteswara Rao, said: "We have made elaborate arrangements to conduct the Intermediate examinations in the district from tomorrow.  We have  have instructed the students not to bring cell phones and calculators  into the examination centres. Even staff also not allowed to use cell phones in the examination centres”.  Police decided to impose Section 144 as a precautionary measure in and around exam centres.
