On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on his 75th birthday. He praised Bhagwat’s life of dedication, leadership, and strong values, saying he was inspired by the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family.
In a blog, PM Modi shared personal memories and reflected on Bhagwat's journey in the RSS, starting from his early days to becoming the Sarsanghchalak (chief). He highlighted Bhagwat's leadership during tough times like the Emergency, his role in rural outreach, and his rise through various RSS positions.
Modi described Bhagwat as calm, thoughtful, and deeply committed to national unity. He also noted his involvement in social campaigns like Swachh Bharat and Beti Bachao, and his five-point vision for society, covering harmony, family values, environment, national identity, and civic responsibility.
PM Modi also spoke of their shared history, mentioning Bhagwat's father, Madhukarrao, who also worked for the nation. He said Bhagwat continues that legacy with strong values and quiet strength.
He ended by calling Bhagwat a symbol of unity and service, wishing him a long and healthy life as the RSS celebrates its 100th year.
