Former CM of UP Kalyan Singh preaches Gandhi's Non-Violence, religious tolerance

Jaipur: Kalyan Singh is the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh during whose tenure the Babri Masjid was demolished. The Liberhan Commission also indicts him for his role into the demolition of the disputed structure.

According to the news reported in Indian Express, now, Mr. Kalyan Singh is the governor of Rajasthan and his daily routine is to read scriptures of different religions and he also preaches that we should become tolerant towards other religious beliefs.

He says that he reads Quran, Bible, Bhagvad Gita, Guru granth sahib and other religious texts. He further adds that no religion in the world preaches one to resort to violence. He says that all the religions preach tolerance, peace, love for the mankind.

He further added that tolerance along with economic justice is the lifeblood of our democracy which is the best form of governance in the world.

He says that he keeps himself busy with reading the scriptures and texts of various religions and also advises others that before coming into conclusion about other’s religion, one should read their religious text and form their own opinion.
