Russia's five-time Olympic Champion in synchronized swimming Ishchenko retires
Moscow, April 5 : Russias legendary five-time Olympic Champion in synchronised swimming Natalia Ishchenko has announced her retirement, her Coach Tatiana Danchenko said on Wednesday.
Besides carrying an impressive load of five Olympic golds, 30-year-old Ishchenko is also the 19-time World Champion and 12-time European Champion.
"As far as I know she decided to wrap up her career," Danchenko said in an interview with Tass news agency.
She was also the first athlete in European history to win all four different competitions in synchronised swimming.
