According to the Confederation of ATM Industry (CATMi), there are about 2.38 lakh ATMs in the country. 1.13 lakh ATMs are on the verge of closure. If ATMs are closed in such a large extent in the country, then people may have to face the problem of cash withdrawal. Government's digital India campaign may seem shocked


ATM Industry spokesman said that due to the shutting down of ATM, the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Janhanan Yojana may have to suffer loss. Subsidy of account holders opened under this scheme, MNREGA money, widow pension and other government help come to the bank. At the same time, an ATM card has been given by the government to connect every account holder with digital India campaign. In such cases, if the ATMs are closed, then again a long line will be required for the cash in the banks. According to the industry spokesperson, the most affected digital India will be mounted in this way. Apart from this, circumstances like narcotization can occur in urban areas. Let the most ATMs in non-urban areas be closed.
