Barca confirm first signing for next season

Madrid  :  Spanish football giants FC Barcelona on Tuesday confirmed the signing of 19-year-old French defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Todibo will join the club on a free transfer on July 1 after seeing out the rest of his contract with his current club, Toulouse and the Barcelona coaching staff will then decide whether he forms part of their first team squad or plays in their B-team or is sent on loan to gain further experience, reports Xinhua news agency.

The highly rated youngster, who can play in either central defence or in a holding role in midfield, has made 10 starts in the Toulouse first team this season, attracting the attention of several big-name European clubs, with Juventus thought to be among his suitors.
