Priyanka Gandhi urges India Inc to support fight against COVID-19

New Delhi, March 23 (IANS) Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Monday made an appeal to the Indian businessmen to join hands in the fight against COVID-19.

In a series of tweet, Priyanka Gandhi said, "At this time of crisis for our nation and the world, I appeal to leaders of India's business community to join in the effort to fight the outbreak of #Covid_19india.

"In countries across the globe, businesses are diverting funds and resources towards the supply of essential medical products and equipment.

"We are about to face a massive and unprecedented load on our health services, India needs your support, please do all you can to help," she said.

She has tagged Wipro, Anand Mahindra, Reliance, Adani Tata, Aditya Birla group, Anil Agarwal of Vedanta, Kiran Shaw, Infosys ,Bajaj,Prashant Ruia, Harsh Goenka,Gautam Singhania, Maruti, Uday Kotak, Naveen Jindal, Hinduja and Shiv Nadar in her tweets.

Earlier, the Congress slammed the government for for ill-preparedness to tackle the coronavirus spread and demanded a financial package for the poor.
