Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the country needs a "eternal green revolution" to overcome challenges facing agriculture. We want to focus on 'nutritional security' from 'food security'. He called for scientific technology. Modi said that the government is trying to double the farmers' income by 2022. The two books written about the famous agronomist MS Swaminathan have been floated on Friday at his residence. He said that malnutrition has become a problem and needs to increase nutritional value in pulses. To calculate the production capacity of different parts of the country, we need to add traditional methods to scientific practices. He said the farmers should identify areas suitable for different crops like industrial clusters and set up farm councils. It would be easier to sort out the storage and transportation of products.

Modi said seven times the number of crops have been raised on crops in one year after the introduction of the Prime Minister's Fiscal Insurance Scheme. Smaller farmers in the country are 85 per cent and they need more understanding of the science technologies in agriculture. Modi has expressed regret that the country's youth is not inspiring from scientists as it has taken the players, film actors and politicians. Swaminathan, who has worked with a number of Prime Ministers, has been praising Modi for being so modest. 1943 - Bengal famine disaster has never been recovered in the country yet, so there is no time to rest, Swaminathan said. He said that everyone needs to be nourished with nutrition, clean water and clean conditions.
