No Helmet, No Fuel Launched by Lucknow Police

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new policy to curb road accidents. The decision to sell the petrol would not be sold to the bunkers without a helmet. From today onwards this approach has been implemented in Lakhnavo.

The UPA government has brought "no helmet, no fuel" clause to control those who run bikes without a helmet. According to the petrol bunk owners in Lakhnavu, if anybody without a helmet is for patrol, they do not want to sell the fuel. Besides, the bike was noticed by the state government. The Police Department has conducted a three-day trial drive from 18th to 20th of this month, providing awareness to the petrolbank staff. The 'No helmet - no fuel' rule will continue for a week from now. After that, the SS rank is appointed by the police officer at every bunk. Without a helmet, sancers are issued.

If this is successful, the UPA government is planning to bring this rule across the state soon. The Government of Maharashtra also brought this provision last year. But the opposition came from the majority, and the rule was forced to retreat.
