Chandrababu Is the Richest CM, Who Is Poorest?

In what can be called as an uncomfortable development for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, national media house India Today delivered a shocking revelation about how rich he is. In a survey performed on chief ministers of all 29 states, the media house compiled information about the number of crime cases they are part of and their current wealth.


Putting Babu on the top of list for 'Richest Chief Ministers in India', India Today's survey also revealed the worth of Babu's assets, which is quite high compared to second CM in the list. The results unveiled tell that Chandrababu Naidu is leading the list with 177 Cr assets while Pema Khandu, CM of Arunachal Pradesh, takes second spot with 129 Crore.


Interestingly K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister of other Telugu state- Telangana, has been ranked at 5th position with a total asset worth of 15 Crore. Amarinder Singh of Punjab is third richest CM with 48 Crore worth holdings and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is next to him with 34 Crore assets.


On other hand, list of poorest CMs include UP's Yogi Adityanadh (72 lakhs), Jharkhand's Raghubar Das (72 lakhs), Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar (61 lakhs), J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti (55 lakhs) and Tripura's Manik Sarkar is poorest CM in India currently.


Also, the crime-o-meter survey revealed some interesting facts about our CMs. It was listed based on number of pending cases (as per the affidavits submitted to EC), wherein Maharashtra CM Devendar Fadnavis topped it with 22 cases and Haryana CM Khattar with just 1 case pending. While 3 cases are pending against Andhra chief N Chandrababu, KCR is booked under 2 cases.
