Cyclone Phethai: IMD says AP likely to receive heavy rains in next 24 hrs

The India Meteorological Department predicted the Cyclone Phethai gas higher chances of further intensification unto a severe cyclone in the next 24 hours .Under the cyclone influence, moderate to heavy rains associated with winds are likely to occur over the south coastal and Rayalaseema districts of Andhra Pradesh.The fishermen have been advised to not venture into the sea till further instructions.
Heavy to heavy rains would occur along Chittoor, Prakasam and Nellore districts from December 15 to 17, officials said that the cyclone system will move over the sea along the East Coast from the North .
