Cyclone Phethai: Water levels increased Prakasam barrage

Heavy rains under the influence of cyclone Phethai raised water levels in Prakasham barrage abnormally. Water levels has been increased by 12 feet in just 24 hours with the heavy inflows. The official machinery is making arrangements to discharge the heavy inflows from the barrage. Krishna district Collector Lakshmikantam said that people were alerted in the low lying areas particularly in Vijayawada, Penumaluru, Vuyuuru etc .
