CBI files fresh case on murder of Ayeesha Meera

A fresh case of mysterious murder of Ayeesha Meera has been filed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The High Court (HC) has directed CBI to lodge a fresh case and take up investigation. Earlier, one Satyam Babu was acquitted in the rape and murder of Ayeesha Meera in 2007. The case that created a lot of sensation involved some political elements. After Satyam Babu's acquittal, the case was taken up by a special investigation team of Andhra Pradesh (AP). However, it failed to come up with conclusive evidence.
