Gopalakrishna Dwivedi appointed as Chief Electoral Officer for AP

AP Chief Electoral Officer (CE) R P Sisodia was transferred and was replaced by Gopalakrishna Dwivedi on Thursday. The ECI also directed the CEO to transfer all the employees who have direct connection with conducting elections, including IAS officials, IPS officials, RDOs, DROs and other revenue and police officials. It is to be noted that, Dwivedi served as a PS to D Purandeswari when she was Union Minister. Political circles in the state are expressing apprehensions over the change.
