yderabad: Jana Sena Party led by Pawan Kalyan will emerge as a full-fledged political party by March next. Youth would get high priority and the exercise to give a proper shape to the party structure would begin from June end. The party will contest elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and the leader would contest from Anantapur.
Pawan said he was going slow with regard to the organisational structure because of the experience he had with Praja Rajyam Party floated by his brother Chiranjeevi in the past. He said a lot of senior leaders from other parties had joined PRP but they had brought a lot of baggage with them and it had negative impact on the party ideology. He said he does not want a repeat performance. Stating that youth will get top priority in his party, the Jana Sena chief said that about 60 percent of the seats will be given to youth in 2019 elections.
Asked if he was confident of coming to power, Pawan said that his aim is to be with the people and try to solve their problems. Jana Sena will continue to raise people’s issues and will question whosoever is in power. “Power is not important. It may come, it may not but I will always be with the people,” he said.
The Jana Sena has adopted a novel way to identify prospective leaders. He said a platform called ‘Janaswaram’ has been launched on the party official website. It is a platform for public to participate in policy-making and to reach out to NRI to get the overseas support base. People with insightful ideas, opinions and suggestions will get a chance to participate in emerging leadership programmes and policy workshops, he said.
He said the party had listed about 32 issues like agriculture, mining, land acquisition, startup and innovation, science and technology, fitness and martial arts, naxalism, caste-based occupations, pensioners, horticulture, civil rights and liberties, urban development, liquor and excise policy and irrigation.
